Our Mission
At East River Sharks, our mission is to provide opportunities for NYC youth to experience travel baseball, regardless of their current financial circumstances. Since it’s inception in 2017, no player has ever been turned away due to a lack of financial resources.

At East River Sharks, our mission is to provide opportunities for NYC youth to experience travel baseball, regardless of their current financial circumstances. Since it’s inception in 2017, no player has ever been turned away due to a lack of financial resources.
In addition to providing opportunities for youth to participate in the beautiful game of baseball, the Sharks organization also has a job placement program for alumnus who are interested in returning to the organization as a coach. We currently have four former players on our coaching staff.
The bigger the Sharks organization gets, the more opportunities we can create for current players and the more jobs we can create for former players. This places some importance on our ability to successfully raise funds within the community and more broadly.
